La Sorgente Del Melo is the ideal starting point for nature trails among the Monti Lattari of the Sorrento Peninsula. From here, by following the “tese” paths, you can reach places of immense charm and full of enchantment between the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno.
The Path of Gods
The most illustrious of these trails is the Path of the Gods, named for its fantastic position between sky and sea and its extraordinary charm.
A prestigious destination for trekking enthusiasts from all over the world, the trail is located at an average altitude of around 500 meters above sea level. Starting from Santa Maria del Castello, it reaches the Amalfi Coast.
From the Path of the Gods, you can admire unparalleled landscapes and views, with an incomparable vista stretching from Praiano and Positano to the island of Capri.
Towards the Sorgente del Melo
But the trail that we find the most beautiful and evocative is the one that leads directly to our ancient spring.
Approximately 2 km long, it winds through vegetation and chestnut woods, leading to the Sorgente del Melo, a spring of clear and crystalline water that flows directly from the rocks of Mount Faito.
This spring was once the source from which local farmers drew water for their needs throughout the year.
